I wasn't sure that it would happen so fast, but you called it right.

I did not necessarily forecast the return to the 80s "so fast." I did, however, figure that the Ray Lane effect would be temporary. Honestly, I figured it would take about a month to two months depending upon overall market conditions, new ORCL developments, and the magnitude of subsequent relevant news events that would tend to have the effect of fading Ray's departure from the minds of investors.

The foregoing is illustrative of how I view market psychology. Fundamentals, OTOH, are constant reminders that impact the perception of investors. So, IMHO, it was just a matter of time until there was a return to a focus on fundamentals, and we all agree, that ORCL's fundamentals are strong going out the next few Qs.

I hope the poster who shorted at 80 covered in the 70's

You must be referring to Marq. Yes, I had the same thoughts, but I figured I'd hold off as I advised him to do when he was patting himself on the back when ORCL dropped to the 72-73 a few weeks ago. I figured if he was smart he would have covered at 72 or thereabouts because the chances of ORCL falling below 70 again, IMHO, where remote.

Technically, I felt the next support level was around 68, so when he said he was looking to cover at 60 by early September, I figured I'd make a comment.

I'm sure he reads the posts here, so if he cares to comment he will do so, and respond to your inquiry whether he has covered his position yet, or if not, whether he intends to follow your advice.

BTW, ORCL up to 81 3/4 after hours as I complete this post.
