I don't think LTB&H is a religion. It's a great strategy, but one that has to considered in the context of current needs, age etc.

Exactly. But there's also nothing in a LTB&H strategy or religion that says to put all of one's assets into one stock. If that's the basis for feeling bad that a portfolio is down by more than 50% in a matter of months, it's not because of anything having to do with LTB&H. It has to do with gambling and a lost bet of putting all the assets into one stock.
