Yes, the Right of the Reagan coalition is more or less the mainstream of today. All of that effort is paying off. A lot of these ideas, like vouchers and character education, have been around for awhile, but every time a reasonable proposal to have limited, experimental implementation is put forth, the NEA and their allies try to strangle it in its crib. Thank God, in places like Minneapolis pilot programs survived, and made people feel more comfortable with the idea, and made the NEA look like what it is: a self- serving status quo organization........
