That is no doubt correct. I'll have to admit that some of my best performers are stocks like CSCO, INTC and EMC which were "mature" places where I was more or less parking money until a real opportunity came along. Of my shiny proto-tornado stocks only JDSU has shown real profit. The rule of thumb Let your winners ride has been perhaps the best path I have followed with only QCOM being a big dissapointment so far of stocks that actually acted like a winner for a while. I keep with it out of memory of RMBS which I rode up and down and up and down and finally got out with a modest gain only to have it go up 5 fold a couple of months later, I should have held long term.
