Albert, not a thing I can disagree with in that post. Right on the money.

There is nothing wrong with "embeded value concept". I am actually buying some of the stocks that no one wants anymore based on that same concept and just using TA to decide WHEN to buy.

You are also right about the emotions. I don't trade stocks as much as I trade emotions. Emotions are what took most of the overvalued stocks to the lofty levels they went to and emotions is what will take them to the undervalued levels.

"I wish I would learn more of TA "

It is not difficult if you keep it simple and just find a FEW TA tools. Many people try to use more tools than they can ever hope to understand and end up not applying any of them very well. Actually one needs to buy only a couple of books to learn ALL they REALLY need to know about TA. I do think one that is a pure value investor would be wise to learn SOME TA just to help get in or out CLOSE to the right time...not saying at the EXACT $ but at least not get you in long before you should.

Now if you want to just read about specific tools used and in some cases understand what the TA clowns like me are talking about go here. It is indexed by indicator and explains the concept of most indicators. Really a very good reference and FREE
