Binx, I have come to the conclusion that Sony can't come up with anything original.

Sony Videostick uses an MMC imitation, the Sony DUO.

Memory Stick is nothing but a CompactFlash card that is stretched into a slightly different shape.

I hope they go broke promoting these standards. They only lead to fragmentation of the consumer market and interrupt the trend toward a universal removable flash standard.

The Sony brand name is so powerful that a CF or MMC-based Sony product would sell as equally well as a Memory Stick or DUO-based product. Instead they are spending an arm and a leg promoting a duplicative standard.
