Paul,
I think the $14s are very possible. I would guess that the story will result in about $3 being permanently priced in over the $10 7/8 level when this craziness began. But I think longer term as the trials progress it goes much higher.

I will be interested to see if any new 5% holders surface from all the volume last week. I think they have to file with the SEC within 5 trading days after they accumulate >5%. I've owned Human Genome Sciences for years and it got a nice move when the Bass Brothers took 13D position.

Have you ever seen a situation like this with the volume before? Also, in your past experience, how long does it usually take for the stock to settle back. I remember Human Genome Sciences had some spikes on news (like when they fully sequenced a bacteria or when they discovered an important gene) but usually they gave back most of the gain by the following day. This is still trading above the closing price on the day of the announcement, Tuesday.

One possibility is that we get a stalemate this coming week where neither the longs or the shorts win. Whatever, it has been interesting.
