Alan's column is always negative. seems always looking for the shock wave to kick off Monday's market. I believe he is irresponsible! However, his follower's on Monday will sell into the warning of a $30. stock. imo lth

Abelson lost all credibility long ago....he is a shill for the short-selling community...well know...case closed...we professionals learned to consider his "higher interests" many years ago...this can be said for Barrons' in general too...strictly the shortsellers' domain..best use of Barrons is to buy the knee-jerk dip on Monday after weekend publication if you know and believe the bullish case...often Barrons' publishes a negative article to help short sellers bail out of positions going against them..Barrons has no track record to report, so why not help out friends? Also Barrons is known to write a "negative" article on a stock as a "signal" to the shorts to cover...case in point..this weekend's hatchet job on Bear Stearns...strictly there to help out some troubled shorts...the article makes statements that I know are erroneous, and that Barrons' knows are false...it does not matter..if they are printed..they are "believed" in the short term..giving the short crowd time to cover...I for one will be buying any weakness in Bear Stearns (BSC) on Monday...so false are the statements used...don't sweat Barrons..use them to make money..just not the way that logic would dictate folks....in Barrons' world Up is Down and Black is White.

How would one find out how this "Seabreeze Partners" has been doing?

I couldn't find any references to Doug Kass nor to Seabreeze Partners in the usual SEC sites, nor the search engines I tried. (Outside some hits having to do with Doug's predictions already cited in this thread.)

As LG says, "Think like a criminal" when these Bearon's articles appear.
