I agree. That is why almost everyone (including myself) is designing around DDR. At some point in the future, it will be needed.

In this case, that comment you refer to is entirely correct: The RDRAM's low latency coupled with its 1.6 gigabyte per second bandwidth provides the highest possible sustained system performance.

If DRDRAM had lower latency, it would be reflected in the Intel benchmarks.
