I do not think that one can afford to treat homosexuality as equal to heterosexuality, because it would upend the expectation of decency in other matters. But I do feel that we can, and should, tolerate it, not merely in law, but in our dealings with others, out of sympathy for the predicament that many are in. You would not add to the burden of a blind man by heaping abuse on him, would you? As for the activists, I agree, they are often vile, and bring into further disrepute their predilections. But I have known many homosexuals who disapprove of that sort of thing, too.......
