Pat, Having followed the SDLI thread and your comments in particular since the announcement of the merger, I agree with what you said. SDL does bring some essential technologies to JDSU in Raman and AWGs. Thus, I hope that the merger will close and also believe, as you do, that it will. Once the merger is closed, the possible synergies will boost the new JDSU. Your point that the key factor is design-in, coupled with the lengthy development and testing of products and the high switching costs that comes from entrenchment as the first mover, rings true. You have a depth of insight and understanding of this technology that I am still trying to acquire. I hope that you know that you helped. Don
