Not at all, Wayne. I still work in the securities industry, but since late last year, all of my trading has taken place on a customer basis. My days on the desk ended last fall when I did what many of us on the street refer to as the "Shearson Shuffle." :)

I'm in a unique position to want the things I want as a retail trader and investor, while at the same time knowing the processes, rules, and most importantly - the realities - of the professional trading world, whether on a dealing or proprietary basis. There are reasons why professionals have tools that you and I don't and can't have, and I accept and understand them. You should too.

On the other hand, I'm no fan of such practices as selective disclosure or payment for order flow - though the latter only inasmuch as it may result in substandard executions.

I accept your apology.
