You are talking about more bells and whistle to the current platform, once they are added it, the platform will have reached nirvana. What will be need to is something that makes Mr. and Mrs. main stream America stand up and say, "WOW, I need that", what you are talking about might have more appeal to the those people that have to have the latest and the greatest. To use my PC analogy , much like the CD-ROM drives on PC that caused main stream America to buy their first PC, streaming video on a cell phone will be the WOW factor that will caused the next big up grade cycle.
