Yes, that Clinton could argue the marriage penalty favors the rich is "an empty suit" for sure. First of all, on its face, it is a very unfair tax. Why should people who are married be penalized? Secondly, other than the hunger for power there is no good argument for keeping it. We now have a huge surplus of money. Thirdly, it is getting soooooo old to hear the propaganda for divisiveness. GWB is for one country marching together toward common goals. The Demos/Socialists want to maintain a giant central government with handout programs while dividing the people into racial and socio-economic groups, one against the other. Their followers are nothing less than economic slaves to them. Praying for a handout rather than an opportunity.

People may be so put off by Gore that his own party might abandon him and focus on the House races. I'll bet a few Democrats with stature jump ship and support Bush.
