Hello RobWin,

TECHNICALS

TXN according to the weekly chart profile over a
three year time span, TXN has reached a top of a mark-up
phase and a distribution phase has begun. One attempt to
regain the 52-week high of around $99.78 is history.

Both upper and lower BBs are curving downward as well as the
expondential moving average set to 20-weeks. OBV is leaving
the stock now. Next bottom price support level will be $50.
If TXN drops below that, it's $40 to $30.

The daily chart profile shows the upper and lower BBs
spreading wider. So, the volatility is increasing and still
the center exponetial moving average is downward.

FUNDAMENTALS

TXN has a 25% growth rate and a P/E of 46.4 which make this

RESEARCH ALERT-Texas Instruments reiterated as buy

NEW YORK, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Chase H&Q analyst Lucas Ward on
Monday "aggressively" reiterated his buy recommendation on
shares of Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN), citing the growing
importance of TI's digital signal processors, which convert
voice into digital data in cell phones and other devices.

- Attendance at TI's annual conference on third-party
digital signal processors drew 900 people, nearly double
over last year.

- TI works overtime to spread DSP technology and to build
an "ecosystem" of hardware, software, and tools which third-
parties can leverage to create new applications.

- TI's wireless outlook remains robust/unchanged, mix has
little effect on TI's margins or sales.

- Broadband design wins are accelerating, and revenues
continue to ramp quickly for the company.

- TI remains a core holding.

- TI shares were up 1-1/4 in late morning trading on the
New York Stock Exchange.

CONCLUSION

There was a great deal of hype today on the stock and TXN
when up. A "strong buy" reco by analyst Lucas Ward at Chase
H&Q makes me even more suspious about why the hype. If they
are a market maker for the stock, you can figure out what
the intent is. There may be a bounce and some sideways
movement...... I remember not too long ago when the street
was so up about IBM. If you have you profit, take it and
move on!
