Hi Les; Thanx for the data..looking back I had a short term
buy signal on the 2nd..but I wasn't looking at the time so
I missed it..and it may go on up from here but things
look to IFY for me after missing the dip.
So far the HiLo 20 day short term is still inverted
to the 40day and 1 year..so while very short term looks
bullish I'm still playing defense longer term.
If the 20 day HiLo will get on above the 40, and the 40
above the 1yr I'll be more bullish.
Banks look like the best risk/reward for now but what happens if Spam up's rates ? they could spike back down
just as fast, still they should run at least 2 or 3 weeks,
BWDIK.
Jim

Les,

I've noticed your data posts before, but I must admit I have not studied it much. is it something you generate or is this generated by someone/group?

I've also noticed a few posts from you denoting buy-vs-sell signals on the SPX, NDX or OEX. but could not casually make any connection to the PNF version of similar characteristic (called Bullish Percentage charts).

have you had a chance to study PNF BP's and compare/contrast?

some of the stuff I've seen, particular on sector analysis, lends itself very well to sector BP's...

for example, xocharts.com has a great site where all this data freely available and updated daily...

xocharts.com
xocharts.com
xocharts.com

BP's are simply the %-age of components for said group which are on PNF Buy signals. PNF Buy or Sell signals are unambiguous... a chart is either on a Buy or Sell.
over 70% is considered overbot. under 30% oversold.
reversals below 70 or above 30 are noteworthy signals.

tx for any insight on your methods.
