*OT* Poet, I was not upset. In fact, I was quite straightforward in my reponse to your assertions about my remarks, assertions you now state you do not wish to defend. That is certainly your right. It tells one all one needs to know. As to going back to doing stock analysis, I never stopped. I find curious your assertion that I "personalized" my remarks. I merely pointed out a fact: that a person nominated for a technical award had done poor technical analysis. He was wrong. This is not a "personal attack." It is a substantive criticism. A "personal attack" is an attack or sharp criticism of a person for reasons special to them as a person. For example, the assertion "you should not believe anything Poet says because she is a woman" is a personal, ad hominem attack. On your understanding of a "personal attack," all criticism is personal. This is mistaken. It also precludes criticism, which is anti-intellectual and stultifying.
