So, while it is certainly possible that PassEdge is part of that new organization, I continue to speculate that the new company will have a different name. So, maybe we are both right?

Well, whatever label it adopts, I think the important point is that we all have an inkling on what the company will be all about. The abc's are not as important. And I think we all agree that the resulting company will cater to a potentially huge market.

This is INCREDIBLY interesting because by entering the software application layer INTC can directly stimulate customer power, and thus accelerate the precipitation of the new new tornado.

And at the same time what's equally interesting is that Intel is finally growing the cajones to go toe to toe with it's significant other, Microsoft, on it's turf, software.

It gives me great confidence in Intel's conviction with relation to the prospects of the new company in that it is willing to chase the $ in spite of potential strain on the Wintel relationship (MSFT offers a competing product with it's ContentGuard venture with Xerox). Afterall, both companies are hoping to rollout whole new product lines with MSFT's Microsoft.NET/Windows and Intel's 64 chip.
