The difference between

1) regular alkalines+camera-->computer transfer

and

2) using nimh rechargeables plus a CF disk reader

is like night and day.

For my first few "rolls" I was using 1 and chewing through 4 AAs per small set of pictures, I kid you not. The rechargables and recharger, though initially expensive, are a marvel and should pay for themselves within the year.

Hi capt,

Would that be a Casio QV-100? What a piece of junk. I'm on my third digital camera and this last one was so much cheaper and I love it. Kodak DC215 fits my hand & eye like a glove. I carry it every where and use regular batteries. Not a problem!!!

Now if you're a real captain and not an employee of SNDK then PM me your E-mail and I'll send you some fishing shots.

Disclaimer: I'd rather fish than ??? My wife can answer that one.

Keith
PS - Time for me to go, the janitor will be here in a bit...

re: your old casio
is it a QV100
i own one, it was my first digital camera, vga resolution and 4MB of embedded flash, and, oh,... battery eater.

I bought a motorcycle 6V battery (small one) and keep it in
a pouch, connected to the camera via a helical cable.
I need to recharge it very seldom.

it works!
