active22 >Whisper # at 17 cents, estimates at 15. Bob Brinker got me scared.

In case you didn't know, Brinker is the biggest bear on earth these days. He's even inventing terms on his radio show like "earnings growth recession" and "vestal virgin". The latter is an old term of course, but he's using it for high techs that haven't caved in yet, like Cisco and Sun. He quoted Whisper.com for that 17 cents whisper number, a highly respected and revered site, of course. LOL. He is putting every possible negative slant on every piece of economic news into his weekend radio broadcasts. His praying to the cave bear has even accentuated since Abby J. Cohen came out positive on the markets for the rest of 2000. Of course, he's been committed to his bear market call since almost the first of the year, and seems to think he can help pull it off (the bear market) by scaring the poo out of his listeners.

The term "earnings growth recession" simply means the possibility of slowing earnings growth, which Abby said she's factored into her equations. He just has a need to get the word recession in there, to scare his followers even more.

He could be right, of course, but you have to listen to all of them, or at least the ones you respect.

Tony

Dear active22: Bob Brinkers agenda is TO SCARE people. Thats how you sell your services!! If you are going to listen to him be sure and also read the other side and make your own decisions. If you follow only Bob you will feel as though you should join AG and invest only in Treasury Bills. JDN
PS: AG has to invest only in Treasuries to insure "independence"

I have learned over last 2 years not to bet on CSCO beating
estimates by more than a penny. If the whisper is at 17 and if bulls are expecting CSCO to beat the whisper, they likely will disappointed. I hope I'm wrong....

CSCO still would be a good buy at this levels.
