Tony,

Why don't we ever hear news like this reported on CNBC?

I look forward to the day when I am able to sell my margined shares and give an AMAT enema to those claiming the "END IS NIGH"

Unheard of for Japanese workers to work during their "Golden Week."

FYI, Golden Week is the first week of May.

Tony, Back from vacation and thinking about buying some more AMAT tomorrow. I believe Brian has it right about semis. A little blip due to supply shortages and some side effects of interest rate hikes will IMO only make it more likely that the the cycle will lengthen and not end here. Whats happening is Not boom and bust--its just an adjustment. AMAT at 15 times next years earnings with next year just around the corner and with growth thru 2001 assured makes this a screaming buy. What other semis do you follow? As you know I also have a position in LSI Logic.
