Your point is well taken and deserves to be repeated often with variations. THE PRICE YOU PAY IS IMPORTANT!. Please everybody note that Paul Johnson works for a brokerage firm that accidentally happens to trade JNPR stock. He may be unconsciously influenced.
Having said all this, a small cavil. The PE of JNPR is 453, I calculate, not 1000. I use the recent quarter's eight cents as the basis. Not that 453 is much different from ridiculous.

Valuations these days are much different than the early and mid 90's when gorillas could be purchased at reasonable PEG ratios.

You won't be surprised to learn that your comment fascinates me. I'm not a student of stock market history. Can you give some examples and include the state of the product adoption they were in at the time?
