Ah Jessie Livermore, was wondering who would pick up on who said that. :-))

Written too long ago for many to have much faith in it but as we both know the one thing that never changes is human nature and he has some really great tales about that.

One of my favorite stories he tells on himself is after losing millions on one particular trade

"To learn that a man can make foolish plays for no reason whatever was a valuable lesson. It cost me millions to learn that another dangerous enemy to a trader is his susceptibility to the urgings of a magnetic personality
when plausibly expressed by a brilliant mind. It has always seemed to me, however, that I might have learned my lesson quite as well if the cost had been only ONE million. BUT FATE DOES NOT ALWAYS LET YOU FIX THE TUITION FEE. She delivers the educational wallop and presents her own bill, knowing you have to pay it, no matter what the amount may be."

I know of many SMALL gaps that have never been filled as I am sure you do. The reason I feel this one will be filled is because of the SIZE. "I" have found that the BIG ones do get filled even when they are more than a year old. This one is months old. Now I feel sure there are some that disappeared due to splits. I do seem to remember INTC had one back in 98 that went away due to splits (I really had an eagle eye on that one). When does AMD split? :-))

MSFT had one that was made the same time the INTC gap was made but a split took care of it also... the only thing is that MSFT ended up filling it anyway. :-))

Didn't make me any money though even though it was a good short and the charts said to short it. That is the one stock I said I would never short and I won't. The rest are fair game.

BTW, Have you ever fooled with MU? They have the pit from hell. Talk about a tough one to trade either long or short! I have made a bit shorting it but I am so afraid of those crooks I always chickened out early.

If you trade gaps, I have a really good scan that finds the GOOD ones and can run it against all except BB's. Be glad to run it for you anytime and email the list or PM you. Or any other scans. For the MOST part, if you can think of it I can scan for it.
