Alan, I think VectorVest is good but I worry about the ability to catch some things by just reading the charts. For example, DISH and GMH are both going to launch their broadband internet service directly from the satellite in the next few months. This is something they have both been working on for years. DISH has teamed up with Microsoft and GMH has teamed up with AOL. None of this will show up in reading the charts. Therefore, the charts will say DISH is bad.

To some degree you have that same problem with seasonal stocks. DCLK, DoubleClick, is finally settling government problems and just in time for the fall season. DCLK does very well at the end of the year. I am not sure if the charts will forecast those two items.

We seem to agree that the fiber net plays, for the most part, will not be hurt with the new semi fabs.

In the world of well recognized semi stocks, who do you think will be hurt and who will manage to continue to do well as new plants come on line at the start of the year?

Also, a lot of people sell off at the start of earnings month and then buy back in at the end of the month. Do you follow that trend?
