Jason, when SNDK becomes a five or ten bagger from here, we will all be able to afford to meet at a GO SNDK party at some desirable location. <VBG>

The Circuit City Rebates are not new.

Message 13389816

[Circuit City has...] an impressive line-up of SanDisk products and they are also offering a rebate of $20.00 this week only on either the 32MB or 64MB SanDisk CF cards. The salesguy told me "It's a manufacturer's rebate. Why does that matter?" I replied I was just interested.

I believe it is the prerogative of the [SNDK] sales division to negotiate rebates with customers. I recall BestBuy giving away SanDisk CF cards with camera purchases just before Christmas. In any case, these are limited offers both in time and scope. I did not see similar [concurrent] offers at other local electronics dealers. I would guess these are standard practices used to reward good retail customers or to curry favor with stores who might consider dropping the product line.

Jason, recently I have also noticed banner ads on some of the digital photography sites for hobbyists.
