Yes, a number of BLECs, including ARCC now, are resorting to more sophisticated IP offerings at ultra high speeds. Speaking of BLECs (building local exchange carriers), otherwise known as UTROs here, Sir!, which stands for a term I believe you coined: Up The Riser Outfits...

... have you spoken spoken with a startup utroblec called Everest Broadband? Each week in Crain' New York they have a full page add with their name splatted on the face of a high rise office building, declaring:

"We Broadbanded [address]!"

This week it was 225 Broadway.

"We Broadbanded 225 Broadway," it reads...

... which is next to the old Woolworth Building.

Which latter Woolworth Building, itself, is netting up to incubator status, or they would have you believe.

We have T1s and DSL lines, indeed.
