Hi all - thx shotski1 for the repost. Upon reading the article, there is one interesting item I ve not thought of before. Indeed, it is commonly known that CSCO has outsourced much of its manufacturing. However, the fact that it is opening a plant in Salem, NH, seems to suggest that outsourcing may not be the answer for optical networking products, in part b/c of their specificity and in part b/c of the demand. Here, contrary to the article's intent, LU and NT may have a leg up b/c they control the production process. In this sense, it seems to me that NT did the right thing by insisting on sourcing availability in the GLW discussion best, Bosco
