jim kelly re: Yes, there is evidence.

Thanks Jim, I did not doubt that you had reason to believe that Tucker was a short. Then in Tucker's reply (with indignation!) he was quite misleading, but I read like a lawyer. He may not be short right now though after all he said in his Aug 3, 2000 post on the thread you referred to, that "I have invested--short primarily."

Best,
Mike

jim, RE: Yes, there is evidence.

Perhaps I should have said Tucker is primarily a short and he benefits primarily from this type of news.

And, if you look at what I said, you would realize that you are wrong.

I said this: "I have invested--short primarily--in many a company that has disclosed information only in a 10-K or 10-Q, hoping for some strange reason that nobody will ever find out."

I sell stocks short when managements attempt to deceive people by disclosing information only in their 10-K or 10-Q.

By extrapolating this to state that I primarily sell stocks short is absurd.

Jim: Re: Perhaps I should have said Tucker is primarily a short and he benefits primarily from this type of news.

Aren't you take part of his sentence and misinterpreting that he posts the way he does because he is short?

short primarily

I have invested--short primarily--in many a company that has disclosed information only in a 10-K or 10-Q, hoping for some strange reason that nobody will ever find out.
