64 bit bus divided by 8 bits per byte equals 8 bytes;
times 2 for double data rate;
times 100MHZ;
totals 1600 bytes/sec for PC1600.
For PC2100 substitute 133MHZ (133x16=2128)

Why does Intel only plan to use PC1600 DDR for their servers?

Intel seems to have suddenly acquired a very conservative approach to new memory types, I wonder what could have caused this?
