<<I haven't seen KG4 since Friday I think. Hope all is well............He can have all my stuff when I see him. Well! Except the rope. That depends...........

I'm just chillin....thanks for thinking of me though. Funny you mention that rope. I was cleaning a route ( removing gear ) yesterday on a beautiful 11a route at Shiprock ( NC ), when I ended up taking a nice little whip. At the time, because I was practically upside down trying to get this damn piece of gear out, I thought I was gonna be decapitated. Ended up being just another exhilirating whip.

Whats ironic about all this.....and I wasnt even going to mention this as I know everybody is tired of the gloomy posts but...I got stung by a hornet, of which I am very allergic. In my calf. My whole leg swelled up and my ankle looked like it had gangrene. I still went climbing which probably wasnt the best thing to do, but hey, with the mindset I am in lately, I had to get out. I wasnt planning on climbing. We went to shiprock because of the easy approach and figured I'd hang under a tree and slam a few cold brewskies and unwind. Well, if you know anything about rock climbing, it is an addiction. With a very badly tweaked tendon on my left hand, numbness and pain in all my knuckles, and left leg and ankle swollen twice it's size and stiff as a board, I watched climber after climber fail on this particular route rated 11a ( my wife of course went up it like the little spider that she is ) and then before anybody could stop me, I had clipped in and started up the wall. I flshed the hell out of that thing. Not a single fall, no beta from below and I nailed all the cruxes ( hardest parts ) like they were 5.6 moves in my backyard.

The whipper came as I was coming down cleaning the gear. It was a diverted route ( not straight ) it weaved all the hell over the place. Cleaning a route like that is almost as fun as climbing it....my belayer was lost and so became I!!!!......Anyway, I had fun on the route even though the consequences are now a very, very painful leg/foot.

As far as the market goes.....no comment.
