It appears that AMD did not recognize the severity of the problem on June 1. Otherwise, I doubt if Durons would have been launched with July OEM expectations.

I don't see it that way since KT133s seem to have rampedup at this point but the execution todate does leave some room for doubt.

Gateway and Compaq have publicly talked about holiday Durons so that is a good sign for September volumes on VIA.

If i had that information in July it would have made sense to short starting after the numbers for Q2 came out.>

IMHO, shorting this stock is playing with fire even if one has the right trading skills.
