As much of a scum-bag as I believe him to be I cannot dismiss his smarts. I too hope I'm wrong but it makes too much sense and the all the facts seem to point to HillBilly guideing Gore. It moves Gore away from Bills sins and to a more middle-of-the-roader politician as far as NY is concerned. The bible belt will never vote for a Jew nor will the conservative dems and Clinton knows it, but its not Gore he cares about but rather the bitch.
