I'm glad you did well in college economics, but you still don't get it. My grading you on economics was somewhat tongue in cheek, but on the other hand pointed at your lack of understanding of REAL economics. Government spending is the MOST inefficient spending apparatus that exists. Most money goes into the beauracracy of the program and not the actual outcome itself. AND, where did you see that the government was actually going to use the money to reduce the national debt. There isn't such legislation.

Let's see, FY 98 the government had a surplus the last time that happened was FY 69. It does look like FY will come in with a surplus. So in the last 31 years, government has overspent its receipts 91% of the time. I am not for giving the government more of my money for their poor policies and track record. I can safely say that there has never been a year that the government went into a budget position spending exactly projected receipts, it ALWAYS is more. Your argument is folly.
