OT: Best Of Class Stock Candidates: JNIC

Hi DiB,

[Perhaps we should adjourn to the JNIC thread with any reply you might care to share....]

Can you amplify on the implications of the Jaymark transaction?

From the latest SEC 8-K: "....other than 1,000,000 shares which may be sold by former Jaymark
stockholders to satisfy certain tax obligations in connection with the
reorganization, none of the shares of JNI common stock distributed by Jaymark
may be sold for 330 days, except as follows: <end snip>"

Considering the current float on this one is 5.7MM shares, it looks like there is considerable dilution coming in the future, both immediate and long term. Is this not a cause for considerable concern?

Another concern that I would have is that while JNIC appears to be doing really well with gross margins, not enough of that revenue is dropping to the bottom line.

To compare apples and oranges in a most simplistic way, with AMCC introducing products for use at wire speeds of OC-768, why would I be inclined to get excited about a company whose ASICs are "JNIC-1260 Data Transfer Rate: 200 MB/s data transfer rate in full duplex mode
JNIC-1260-2G Data Transfer Rate: 400 MB/s data transfer rate in full duplex mode"? jni.com

Finally, who do you see as JNIC's most significant competitors?

And thanks for bringing the company to my attention. I'd seem their name in passing before but never took the time to look under the hood. Just when is this Jaymark overhead going to be resolved in your opinion? It sure sounds like it won't be for another year unless there's some sort of an offering....

Thanks, Ray
