Any thoughts on why Ciena and Corvis did not participate in the rally today?

Kenneth,

My take is that Corvis has just about played out it's hand. Without any more IPO stock to give away, they would be hard pressed to buy new customers, and attract and keep talent. Most engineers are pretty good at doing the arithmetic.

One thing is for sure. Corvis has a nice market cap. That is worth something...at least short term. It remains to be seen what magic their technology holds, if any. The market is huge, and there is some room, but certainly not dominance. The market cap reflects dominate market share. This with zero sales to date.

The Qtera box will be hard to beat if they can live up to their claims. This was apparent from how fast they were snatched-up by NT.

Their box was in operation at OFC this year. If I recall correctly, Corvis had nothing to show.
