I am getting off, so I will make this brief: barracks homosexuality goes along with the entire militaristic outlook of Sparta, where property was in common and women were treated as chattel, and masculinity was idealized in its most macho forms. In general, societies have discouraged the practice,although they have treated it with varying degrees of severity, because it belies the sexual identity one was born with, and negates sexual bipolarity, which to all appearances is the natural order, and also because it would be disruptive to have to worry over sexual passion erupting from all sides. Remember, adultery is also discouraged, and most societies restrict the personal interaction of members of the opposite sex when they are married, because of the danger of matters getting out of hand. What if any relationship could be as disruptive? Anyway, I will probably return later tonight........

There was also an article recently that said BECAUSE aids was not getting as much press in the USA lately, Stats on aids sickness/death have increased in cities like San Francisco.....wonder why that is?? It is because the men committing sodomy were not wearing ""protection"". duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Now who is the grieved party as you say?? Do you like to see people suffer and die?
