No, but the bulk of the sufferers were highly promiscuous or the victims of the promiscuous. People in stable monogamous partnerships, ( hetero or homo ) have virtually no chance of contracting aids ( unless gays for political reasons put the blood supply in jeopardy again ).

You've got to hate self-destructive behavior if you love the self-destroyer.
