Why I'm still in.
by Buzz

My experience with one little stock (ANCR) over the last 4 years has given me the resolve to believe in good outcomes for companies like IATV. Surely more often than not companies like these do not even see their adolescence. But I saw my little unknown Ancor go from single digits to about $41 with only a dream and a vision of where Fibre Channel technology was going. Without any fundamentals to support a $41 share price, the shorts had painted a bright red bullseye on its chest. I held, and I held. I eventually got scared out with a small gain. And it kept going down, and down, and down......all the way back to about $1.50. At the time I felt pretty good that I had spared myself further agony. But it ate at me that I had believed in the company and the technology, and that I was now "out" of the stock. I felt like I had been cheated somehow.

Well, Ancor never got much lower and I decided it was time to get back into the game. So I bought 1000 shares just under $2. I waited and waited. It went back up a little at a time, all the while Fibre Channel was beginning to get noticed and accepted. Well, to end this bitter sweet tale, I did hold on until earlier this month when ANCR was merged with Qlogic (QLGC) for .5275 shares of QLGC for every ANCR share. The last day of trading on ANCR saw a close of $35 and change. QLGC has since gone up about $12 since the merger and the future could not look any brighter. I still hold most of those shares. The bitter part of this tale is that I didn't have the cajones to buy the 10,000 shares of ANCR (~$20K cost) I had wanted to, which is currently worth around $420,000! I get pissed just typing about it. <vsg> But hey, I'm not telling you a story all of you haven't lived as well.

I see IATV as another ANCR. I really do. That is why I'm not cashing out this time on the descent and will gladly buy those 10,000 shares should it get anywhere near $2 again (HA HA fat chance). I've had my cajones surgically enhanced for the "next time." Just gimme another shot Mr. Market, please!

Hang tough everyone. It may be another 1-2 years, but we WILL be happy we stayed aboard.

Sincerely,
Buzz
