If that Rio on your list is supposed to be Rio Tinto, I think you're not understanding the situation Laurie. On a global basis Rio Tinto is at least as large and complex as DeBeers and considerably more diverse. In addition they are more honorable in their dealings with people and countries of all kinds, than DeBeers by some exponential factor. the reason we don't hear as much about them is that they just go about their business, and have never supported warring factions underhadedly nor hired slease balls to fake their propoganda. When they publicize they do it openly and in good taste. Not even Nicky O would have the nerve to consider them as a target.
