That would be interesting... of course, I have some mining shares, but IMO the pop may not occur for a while.

I remember seeing an analysis a few years ago on the '87 crash. The author apparently was able to forecast it through the use of some structural models and non-linear systems. There were something like 20 exogenous variables in the model, so he could have been overfitting, but the mathematical logic seemed fine. I have not been able to find a valid link. The one I have is
