Still, the old plan of the 15% discount was always in effect. You'd think it would be somewhere in the financials, but I'm not about to look through that crap. If there was a way to hedge against it, I'd think they'd do it. Although, this isn't the currency market and the stock is so much more volatile that I don't see how they could hedge effectively. Maybe this is why IBM buys back so many shares? Is there a source to compare the shares bought back v. the shares given away?

Barron's accuses CSCO of diluting shareholder value by excessive issues of employee stock options and generous stock giveaways while purchasing companies for billions that aren't worth the price, at the same time Forbes accuses IBM of manipulating earnings by excessive share buybacks. Pick the lessor of two evils I guess? They're all dirty, one way or the other.....
