Lee, based on the action in the futures, someone is drawing the same conclusions as you! Thanks for the analysis. it really did SEEM like things were better than expected. Glad to see it ain't necessarily so!

Lee, the BLS numbers are bogus. The easiest way to prove that productivity is a mirage is the mere fact that real corporate profits of the "old economy" .... companies (who are relative labor intensive) are not rising as reported by productivity and labor cost units.

With lower productivity gains a year ago profits were rising 20% now they expect around 6%.

As they say the proof is in the puding.
