Uncle Frank,

frank, there is no profit until you sell. unless you are investing for your heirs, to enjoy your good fortune you must sell. i am a big fan of both g. moore and bill o'neil but you got to take profits or die rich and let your kids have all the fun. so--- when to sell. i have the solution.(to paraphrase) never buy at the bottom and never sell at the top. pigs get slaughtered. when to sell is much tougher then when to buy. when you buy fear sets in and when you finally get a good stock the urge to take profits is almost overwhelming. sell part and put a firm stop sell on the rest. that way you can be a little wrong and still be right.o'neil's best idea is to never let a profit turn into a loss. easier said then done. hey this is what makes the market so addicting. it is like a horserace that never ends. good luck. rocky
