hb, a radio jock was touting america's great productivity miracle this morning. anybody that believes actual productivity is up 5% across the board has their head in a stinky place!

bottom line - no mention of the the statistical gymnastics required to create such a number from much less of an improvement.

the guy was ignorant.

I thought we went over that before... our equity derivative trading desk at Credit Swiss had exactly a 10 fold increase in trading profits with the same number of employees but an upgrade to the new pentium version, which was exactly 10x faster than the old! <VBG>
