I think unless the 7-min time frame on the SPOO confirms by also giving us a buy signal, I suspect the initial move up will be limited.

I am now trying these indicators out on the DJIA. I see a possible 7-min buy signal. But the momentum in the 3-min may lead to further weakness. The momentum in the 1-min time frame has broken down. Not looking good.

**update** 12:11 PM

The possible buy signal on the 7-min time frame is close to not happening. Price must move very shortly to salvage this signal. The indicators in the 3-min time frame has already made this signal marginal. And there is no supporting momentum in the 15-min time frame. Here we now have aa test of top. Lest see what happens next.

Looks like the SPOO is holding support so far. A possible buy signal on the 1-min shaping up. I am anticipating at least one push down past a trend line on my chart. Price now testing 20 EMA 1. Market at a juncture.

**update** 12:28 PM EST

Nope. Buy signal did not materialize. No surprise here given what I have been seeing.

A few minutes later, now looking like price appears to be moving below the 20 EMA 1 (20 EMA on the 1-min chart). Also moving below that trend line.

Bull flag on the 5-min chart. But indicators are saying "pass on this one" to me. So I will watch. Volume has been showing we still are in congestion. Last move up outside of the triangle has been met with decreasing volume. So if this flag triggers, this may make for a better short instead of a long trade.

**update** 1:05 PM EST

Price at a previous resistance. So far on this move up, traders are uncertain and quick to take some profits. Stoch briefly topped out before price pulled back. A small bear pattern has developed on the 1-min chart that price is responding to. Now a test of bottom coincidental to a test of the 20 EMA 7.
