AIDs is primarily a heterosexual disease in most of the world, where it is also tied to promiscuity (or blood exchange). The curious transmission pattern in the U.S. was mostly chance, the random fact that the first carriers were gay. If you remember back 15 years ago or so, the next largest group with AIDs was Haitian and the transmission mode in that community was primarily heterosexual. The high emotional content of the "hate the sin" philosophy blinds you and many others from getting to the root of the problem. TP
