Chuck,

RE:"And what's with the sell-off today?"

I'm afraid that some of the large mutual funds are lightening up...

Charles, Re: KX133 never had a chance to rampup because Athlon classics were going away. KT133 is just now beginning to ramp.
Last quarter AMD stopped all wafer starts on Classic Athlons and right now only Irongate works with ThunderBird. Unless there is some other chipset that is shipping that I am not aware of, Irongate is it as far any "real" chipsets are concerned.

My thinking is that the KT133 is a continuation of the KX133 (minor change to support the Socket A but expensive timewise). I've been using the KT133 on the newest machines (both MSI and ASUS) with total success so far. If the KT133 not a good chipset, I've been unable to determine why so far but maybe in the future I will.

BTW, you still didn't tell me what you mean by "Real chipset".

Re: And what's with the sell-off today?

I haven't a clue. Perhaps the street is waiting for the "critical" earnings coming in the next few days. Who knows? I'm surprised anyone is selling at this point.

Kidest regards,
CrazyMan
