Now, if you want to try something *really* hard, you should try handwriting recognition software in that market!

it will always be difficult to teach old dogs or docs new tricks.

Hey, who're you calling old??????? <g>

I will. But if you want to know what's hot now, around the medical center and medical school, it's handheld PDAs/Palms/pocket PC's. Everyone (but me) has one. In the olden days, we would get an empty book, and fill it via handwriting (hey, remember how to do that?), with lists of differential diagnoses, signs and symptoms of diseases, etc. This was known as a "personal brain", and it went into the pocket of every medical student or resident's white coat. I still have mine, as an antique treasure. But nowadays, it all goes into a handheld device, with entry for notes, or predesigned software for medicine.

Good talking with you UnC.
