You know where i stand on this subject, however, I have never seen how much of the "equity", vis-a-vis GDP, is sliced up between publicly traded companies and privates. I think this could be skewing the magnitude in this day where anyone that has a cockeyed idea has gone public. Most everything that could be public has gone that route.

The point being, I think there were a few more Cargills in the past than now.

Though an AMZN and Flea were probably market caped as being worth more than Cargill at their peak. -g-
