Is this good news or bad news?

Gary
The market will tell us tomorrow.I think J.Chambers picked a good time to announce it. To let it stand alone on another date could possibly weaken the stock.

Gary:

I own CSCO and try to keep up with this thread, but boy do tempers run high here! And I thought you and MA went at it on the COMS thread!

Though I don't post here (owning CSCO doesn't take much thought), I couldn't resist posting this snippet taken from the AP wire story on CSCO's earnings:

By CLIFF EDWARDS
AP Technology Writer
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Sales at Cisco Systems Inc. surged 61
percent as the Internet networking giant beat Wall Street's
expectations by a penny....

Cisco has developed a strategy of buying developing countries
and using its giant status to augment their technology and
engineering expertise......

If CSCO keeps up the pace, they may just have to move up the food chain from buying developing companies to buying developing countries!!

Keep smiling while you own a small piece of this company.
